Ameresco has an opportunity for an Associate HVAC Mechanic to join our Operations & Maintenance Team based at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent is required.
  • Up to two (2) years of related professional experience.
  • Type 2 or higher EPA certification is required.
  • Ability to review confidential US security information.
  • Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training from a trade or vocational school is preferred.
  • Experienced with installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, or repair of HVAC components or systems preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with the ability to transport equipment and tools in excess of 300 lbs.
  • Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.
  • May require travel and flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the operations and maintenance of water source heat pumps, HVAC systems; and other related equipment/systems as directed.
  • Assist other trades personnel and management personnel to maintain reliable utility service and efficient performance.
  • Take equipment readings critical for operations, efficient performance, maintenance history, billing, etc.
  • Compile logs, prepare reports, and enter data/information into computers as necessary.
  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on various equipment as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and safety standards, practices, codes.
  • Perform other duties as required.
