Requirements

Juris Doctorate is required.
Must have a minimum 5 years' experience as a practicing attorney, including experience in litigation management as in-house counsel, government attorney or a member of a litigation practice group in a law firm.
Must have admission to the state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey.
Ability to travel 20%-30% locally as required

Nice To Haves

Experience in the long term care is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel, review/prepare/negotiate documents in connection with corporate acquisitions and divestitures, oversee legal due diligence, mergers and business affiliations, purchases/sales of securities and other assets of corporations and the contents of purchase or sale contracts, merger agreements, or other business arrangements; prepare and make appropriate filings and obtain appropriate regulatory approvals with respect thereto.
Represent Genesis with state and federal bureaus, departments and agencies.
Assist with negotiation, preparation and review of material contracts, including management contracts, contracts with outside vendors, and third party payors.
Serve as a resource on matters of operational compliance with law and regulation.
Oversee and direct the provision of outside counsel services retained to assist Genesis
