This role will partner closely with the General Counsel and cross-functional teams by providing strategic legal advice, ensuring compliance, and driving scalable legal processes. Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to and good standing with the Texas state bar.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as an attorney with a corporate legal department or law firm preferred.
  • Strong foundation in contract law, corporate governance, and related areas of law relevant to a growing technology-driven business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively within a team to achieve results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver under tight deadlines and be energized by the opportunity to solve problems.
  • Candidate must reside in Dallas or within a commutable distance from our Dallas office, as this is not a remote role.
  • All applicants must be legally authorized to work in and currently reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with contract management software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, customer contracts, MSAs, interoperability agreements, software licenses, nondisclosure agreements, vendor agreements, and employment contracts.
  • Partner and support the General Counsel on advising executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on the legal risk, strategy, compliance, and solutions-oriented guidance.
  • Support privacy, data security, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance efforts, including matters involving data protection, confidentiality, and information security.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of legal templates, playbooks, and internal training to support scale and efficiency.
  • Advise on employment and HR-related legal matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, internal investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact company operations and advise on necessary adjustments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to contract management, regulatory compliance, and employment law, providing day-to-day legal advice to various internal stakeholders.
  • Manage outside counsel for litigation, arbitration, or government inquiries.
  • Handle special projects and other legal matters as assigned by the General Counsel.
  • Be a key member of the legal team willing to step in and contribute where necessary to accomplish tasks and solve problems.
