Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor Degree required. 8 years legal experience or equivalent combination of legal and other relevant work experience. Position Purpose : Provides legal advice and strategic guidance to management on commercial, business and regulatory issues involving aircraft manufacturing, sales and service activities. Supports company efforts relating to aircraft sale, service, engineering, purchasing, customer relations, product support, compliance, corporate communications, marketing, intellectual property and trademarks, financial and SEC reporting and corporate recordkeeping. Directly impacts overall business operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor Degree required.
  • 8 years legal experience or equivalent combination of legal and other relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drafts, negotiates and finalizes contracts as leader of interdisciplinary teams to protect the business and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provides legal consultation on the probable interpretation of contracts, application of relevant laws and regulations, relative value of different party positions on disputed matters and analysis and technical advice on how best to secure corporate objectives.
  • Provide guidance, training and development opportunities to various organizations and others as necessary regarding agreements and establishing/developing best practices.
  • Directs litigation strategy related to customer, supplier, and competitor disputes.
  • Manages and directs outside counsel.
  • Represents Company in third party subpoenas/depositions.
  • Reviews and edits company policies and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
