About The Position
1Money is developing regulated stablecoin and payments infrastructure designed to operate within global financial frameworks. As digital assets scale into mainstream financial systems, the company is building compliant, institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure across jurisdictions. 1Money is hiring a Assistant General Counsel to support product development, regulatory strategy, and corporate governance at a pivotal stage of growth. This role partners closely with leadership across product, compliance, finance, and engineering to launch and scale regulated digital asset services. You will advise on financial services regulation, payments and money transmission, BSA/AML and sanctions compliance, privacy, and blockchain-related issues. The role includes supporting domestic and international licensing efforts, engaging with regulators, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and assisting with venture financings and corporate governance matters. The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years of experience combining top-tier law firm training and in-house exposure within financial services, fintech, or digital assets. You are comfortable navigating evolving regulatory environments, translating complexity into practical guidance, and operating with ownership in fast-moving, ambiguous settings.
