The UHS Corporate Legal Department is hiring an Associate General Counsel to identify and analyze legal issues. This role will be instrumental in drafting key documents, reviewing and preparing contracts. Requirements

  • Law Degree with a minimum of 7 years’ experience as an attorney in a healthcare related field and be admitted into the Pennsylvania state bar.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and respond to multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Provides legal research and analysis concerning health care operations including contracting, regulatory issues, corporate governance and compliance
  • Drafts, review, and/or prepare contract or other legal documents, including vendor and provider contracts
  • Analyze federal and state healthcare laws and regulations including, but not limited to HIPAA and the Stark and Anti-kickback statutes
  • Provide legal healthcare operations support to the acute care, ambulatory and behavioral health divisions, including but not limited to health plan operations, clinically integrated networks and accountable care organizations
  • Provide advice and counsel to company officers and executives in connection with facility operations, fraud and abuse matters, transactional matters and corporate governance matters
