About The Position

The Associate General Counsel, Director - Corporate is a member of the Legal Department who provides practical, business-focused counsel across a broad range of corporate, commercial, and compliance matters. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to support key transactions and initiatives, manage legal risk, and help ensure the Company’s policies, processes, and operations align with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. This role involves researching, analyzing, and providing practical legal advice to business partners on complex matters supporting the Company’s operations and strategic initiatives, and delivering day-to-day counsel to help identify and manage legal risk while driving timely, actionable solutions. The position also manages outside counsel, counterparties, and other third parties as needed, and handles general corporate matters and related business processes, including legal entity management and contracting support (intercompany agreements, commercial contracts, and other strategic transaction documents), as well as corporate and policy governance and compliance program administration in partnership with internal stakeholders. Furthermore, the role monitors and advises on evolving laws and regulations impacting the business, assesses applicability and compliance risk, and partners with internal stakeholders to implement practical policies, processes, and training to support ongoing compliance, including with environmental, employment, and privacy laws. Legal support on employment-related matters, including hiring, separations, compensation and incentive programs, employment policies, and other employment-related requests is also a key part of the role. The Associate General Counsel manages and oversees litigation, disputes, and regulatory inquiries, including coordinating responses to subpoenas and other legal process, partnering with internal stakeholders and outside counsel, leading internal investigations, and tracking matters through resolution. Periodically, the role will assist with diverse, high-demand legal projects outside normal areas of focus.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
  • 6+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on general corporate matters, legal compliance, and risk management, plus demonstrated experience or interest in employment and dispute/litigation matters.
  • Hands-on, self-starter who is disciplined and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting that requires a highly accurate and timely work product.
  • Excellent listening, written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn ERP systems.
  • Excels in a team-oriented work environment.
  • Strong work ethic and accountability to deadlines.

Responsibilities
