About The Position

Enbridge Gas Ohio is looking for an Associate Gas Project Leader to join the team in Akron, OH. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting management, planning and direction for gas delivery projects and/or programs of minor complexity within distribution construction and maintenance. Requirements

  • University degree or related construction or operational training and/or experience. For candidates who do not possess a University degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required.
  • Entry level position, up to 2 years of previous related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Directly Related Experience includes Engineering/Construction, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of relevant engineering principles in civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural projects and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of utility design, construction, operations, maintenance, and repairs; applicable safety codes including OSHA regulations governing utility construction, operations, and maintenance
  • Good planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Team building, conflict management, and customer relations skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Well-versed in using smartphone, email, and other digital formats.
  • Individually manage small projects.
  • Read construction drawings and specification to perform inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Under guidance and supervision, ensure effective engineering designs of projects adherence to company SOPs, engineering/construction processes, proper pipeline material determination/selection, pressure testing and industry standards.
  • Under guidance and supervision, monitor construction contractors and subcontractors ensuring projects meet required scope, schedule, and budget.
  • May provide support to more senior project managers on larger more complex projects by reviewing project designs, supporting, and preparing bid documents, cost and resource management, sales functions, installation, technical, construction or engineering guidance.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
