About The Position

The Marymount University Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program is to provide exceptional speech-language pathology education with a global perspective that upholds social justice and inclusion, antiracism and decolonization, and anti-ableism. We nurture intellectual curiosity and prepare students to be of service to others through developing empathetic, skilled professionals dedicated to the fundamental right to communication. Expectations of a tenure-track faculty member are 80% Teaching, 10% Scholarship, 10% Service. The SLP program is a fully online graduate program (M.S.) and in person undergraduate Health Sciences track in Pre-Speech-Language Pathology (with online undergraduate leveling courses). The Marymount University SLP program is committed to fostering a robust learning environment that engages students deeply in learning through project-based learning and experiences in applied settings. We recognize the profound impact of systemic inequities in education and healthcare that impact individuals with communication and swallowing disorders, and we strive to engage these principles through our academic curriculum, clinical practice, and connections to our communities. Our program is student focused and justice oriented. All faculty report to the Director of the School of Health Sciences. Reports to: Director of the School of Health Sciences Essential Functions:
