About The Position

The Department of Marketing in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications for an open rank Associate or Full Professor of Marketing. The expected start date would be August 2026 or January 2027. We seek an accomplished scholar with a strong and sustained record of publishing in top-tier academic journals and whose research demonstrates significant contributions to the marketing discipline. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, collegial department and contribute to our research mission, undergraduate and graduate teaching programs, and service commitments. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. (not DBA) in Marketing or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • Tenured Associate Professor, Full Professor, or on track to be a tenured Associate Professor.
  • Demonstrated record of publishing in elite, top-tier marketing journals with an ongoing pipeline.
  • Demonstrated record of high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry work experience.
  • Research and/or teaching expertise in relationship marketing, retail/sale/services, branding, and /or consumer decision-making. Others areas will be considered.
  • Theoretically grounded applied research with strong potential for industry collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and publish with doctoral students in top tier journals.
