About The Position

BASIC PURPOSE To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment. Tool allowance included to support your trade. Our Reefer Mechanics start at $30.00 401K with 2% automatic company contribution plus company match up to an additional 6%. Medical Benefits Start Day One! Requirements

• Must have 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
• Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system
• Previous mechanical and PM program experience
• Experience using fleet maintenance software
• Welding ability

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
• Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
• Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
• Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
