About The Position

An entry level position. Prepares original shop drawings or maps which involve extensive and complex details. Uses computerized methods of drafting and design.

Requirements

• Understanding of basic piping components.
• Understanding of fabrication practices.
• A high school graduate or GED.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of applicable software. Including but not limited to Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Working knowledge of schematic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produces accurate fabrication detail drawings.
• Produces complex and complete fabrication drawings or maps with a high degree of technical accuracy.
• Performs work according to established practices and guidelines.
• Demonstrates initiative and judgment in such matters as selecting, placing and accentuating detail or identifying problems.
• Is required to be familiar with the requirements of associated disciplines.
• Makes decisions and recommendations within established guidelines and procedures.
• Exercises initiative in completing recurring assignments.
