About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Environmental Scientist to join our team! In this role, you will be working at various remediation sites or water/wastewater treatment sites, performing technical support for the equipment. You will be working both in an office as well as out in the field, working hands-on with the equipment. You will be performing operations, monitoring and maintenance of environmental remediation systems, as well performing heavy labor tasks related to on-site industrial waste, hazardous waste, field environmental surveys or wastewater treatment operations and maintenance.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a science curriculum related to the assigned discipline
0+ years of related work experience
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to work in all weather conditions
Ability to walk on uneven ground, bend, kneel and climb
Familiarity with software packages typically associated with the discipline is preferred
This position requires a Fit for Duty exam as part of the job requirements. Successful completion of this exam(s) will be required post offer acceptance, prior to you being able to continue in the hiring process and onboarding.

Responsibilities

Collects samples and maintains documentation in record logs
Reviews and analyzes data collected in environmental sampling programs
Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies control and instrumentation systems at on-site locations under general supervision.
Assignments are undertaken independently on a regular basis
Will be required to operate a company vehicle
May assist in permit application development
Extended travel to additional project sites up to 50% of the time
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
