Applied Controls is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Houston, Texas. The Associate Engineer is responsible for gaining industry experience in Instrumentation Engineering through observation and practical hands-on opportunities in day-to-day operations with the Analytical Systems Solutions group.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (imminent) in Instrumentation Engineering Technology or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

Work alongside a Project Engineer and become familiar with the weekly requirements of Project Management and Project Engineering.
Gain practical knowledge of the tools required to meet weekly requirements of Project Management.
Become familiar with the Project Phases from inception to completion.
Put the Project Engineer knowledge gained to use by assisting with a current project.
Work alongside a Service Engineer and become familiar with the daily requirements of field and office/shop duties.
Further develop relevant skills in maintaining and troubleshooting of instrumentation & analytical equipment.
Gain practical experience of communication with vendors and customers through various avenues such as written reports, emails, and virtual meetings.
Build on technical writing skills for purpose of clear communication and project reference documentation.
Accompany a Service Engineer in the field for hands-on field service duties.
Spend ample time on the production floor becoming familiar with the assembly portion of a current project.
