Job Summary The Associate Engineer works within the Manufacturing Sciences team to operate and maintain Mold Template production equipment and provide continued process improvement in support of commercial Yutrepia production. Education and Experience B.S. degree in a technical discipline (Engineering preferred) 0-1 years’ experience in laboratory or manufacturing setting or other relevant experience required. Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or other FDA regulated industries a plus. Experience operating in a cleanroom environment preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated aptitude for ‘hands-on’ operations with an exemplary history as a “self-starter” Mechanical aptitude is a must, experience in the troubleshooting of production equipment preferred Ability to read, interpret and create technical equipment documentation such as user manuals, electrical/pneumatic schematics, and fabrication drawings. Experience with PLC and microcontroller programming and troubleshooting a plus Must be detail oriented with excellent communication and documentation skills Hands on experience with technical and/or experimental execution Ability to interpret data and summarize results Familiarity with statistical data analysis (DOE, process capability, hypothesis testing, ANOVA) a plus Work with team of engineers and technicians to manufacture materials to support clinical and commercial production. Utilize basic process engineering tools such process mapping, Cause and Effect Diagrams, and basic Six Sigma tools Operate, maintain and manage production equipment.
