You will join our Water & Wastewater Engineering Department as our new Engineer, you will be part of a team dedicated to working with industrial clients to deliver a wide range of water-related projects, which will include industrial wastewater planning and design, permitting and design for industrial storm water management, and may include water resources planning. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: Preparing preliminary and detailed engineering design of industrial wastewater treatment systems Conducting treatability laboratory experiments, pilot scale testing, industrial field work Participating in treatment plant operations and troubleshooting Focusing on discharge impacts on receiving water studies Supporting wastewater and stormwater permitting efforts Assisting senior staff with preparing proposals and reports Monitoring the construction phase of projects Supporting stormwater management programs Conducting sampling events (stormwater, wastewater) in various site settings Performing engineering calculations Developing hydrologic and hydraulic models Assisting senior staff with preparing proposals and technical reports, including compiling analytical data Conducting travel/field work (daytime and overnight, usually in U.S.)

  • Successful candidates will have an ABET accredited engineering degree in civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical fields.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel possess a valid driver’s license.

  • The physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold); high noise levels, to hazards such as a proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current and exposure to chemicals.
  • Employees may be required to take specific training and to wear PPE on some occasions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AutoCAD is desired, but not required
  • Advanced degrees a plus.
  • EIT certification preferred
  • On track to take PE licensure exam or existing PE licensure a plus.
