SAIC is seeking an Associate Electronics Technician in Panama City Beach, FL . The qualified candidate will support the Navy’s LCAC ACV program at NSWC PCD in a fast moving team work environment. Work will be performed onsite 5 days a week. This position is contingent upon award news in Summer 2026.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years experience in electronics assembly or integration, or years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Understand mechanical and electrical assembly drawings and schematics.
- Understanding of proper tool use for crimping various electrical connectors.
- Ability to follow assembly build books and test procedures for specialized equipment.
- Familiarity with ESD safety procedures.
- US Citizenship
- Minimum of an interim Secret clearance required to start; Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Nice To Haves
- Experience soldering to J-STD-001.
- Expertise with electronics test equipment including DMM’s, signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
- Familiarity with fabrication of cable assemblies for marine use.
- Experience inspecting electrical assemblies for quality control.
Responsibilities
- Production builds of various electronic equipment.
- Work in 2M electronics repair lab.
- Perform QA checks of equipment.
- Test components using established procedures.
- through hole and surface mount CCA, 2M.
- Travel for FMT (fleet maintenance team) activities.
- Document daily work and submit weekly status reports.
- Assist and document build of prototype devices.
