The Associate Director of U.S. Virology Strategy and Policy will conduct policy analysis and research, build evidence-based messaging and argumentation, inform and develop policy and advocacy materials for internal and external audiences, and serve as a resource to therapeutic area (TA) policy leadership regarding U.S. government policies that impact patient access to Gilead’s innovative virology medicines. This role will primarily focus on Gilead’s HIV portfolio and state policy issues. The ideal candidate possesses a deep knowledge of U.S. state healthcare policy (Medicaid), state public health policy (Departments of Health) and the U.S. HIV/AIDS landscape; and an understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is preferred. Working knowledge of federal healthcare policy issues is a plus.
