About The Position

JOB TITLE: Associate Director-Technology II JOB LOCATION: 3400 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75075 [Hybrid Position] DUTIES: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of software developers, QA engineers, and DevOps specialists, driving the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable applications using technologies including Java, Groovy, Spring Framework, Node.js, React, and cloud platforms including AWS and Azure. Oversee the design and implementation of RESTful APIs with API Gateway, microservices, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, and Jenkins. Working with an Agile, collaborative environment, conducting code reviews, mentoring team members, managing resource allocation with Jira and Git, and ensuring adherence to test-driven development and security standards. Promote test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) practices using testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, JMock, SoapUI, and Postman. Conduct code reviews and mentor teams to maintain high-quality codebases and scalable architectures. Allocate resources strategically across projects using tools like Jira and Git for version control and issue tracking, additionally will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, present updates to senior leadership, and proactively manage risks and incident resolution to maintain high system reliability and performance. Resolve team conflicts requires active listening, fostering open communication, and guiding collaborative problem-solving for mutually beneficial solutions. Prompt addressing concerns creates a supportive environment where individuals feel valued, helping identify root causes and remove obstacles affecting morale and performance. Prompt transparency and empathy builds trust and psychological safety, encouraging constructive expression of differing opinions. Implement fair conflict resolution aligned with organizational values and collaborating with HR when needed supports employee well-being. Direct report- Four (4) Lead Software Engineering, Two (2) Senior Software Engineering, One (1) Lead Quality Assurance, One (1) Principal Software Engineering and One (1) Senior Tech Product Manager. REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Java, Groovy, REST services, Cassandra, Redis Splunk, Grafana, Git, Jira, APIGEE, and ATG; using cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes; utilizing CICD technologies, GitHub, Maven, and Jenkins; utilizing Junit, Mockito, JMock, SoapUI, and Postman; performing Unix and Linux command line; and utilize HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, React, CSS3, Java, and Spring framework.
