About The Position

As an Associate Director of Philadelphia Residential at the Barber National Institute, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring care and support for individuals with disabilities. Working in collaboration with a team of Associate Directors, you will oversee program operations, staff performance and development, and strategic initiatives to enhance service delivery. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives on empathy, problem-solving, fostering collaboration and accountability, and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of management experience and 2+ years working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/autism or similar human services experience, or Associate’s degree with 5+ years of management experience and 2+ years working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/autism or similar human services experience.
  • Experience in program oversight, compliance, leading change, and strategic planning.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Pre-hire Clearances: State Police Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance (if you have not lived in PA for the past 2 years).

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and guidance to program specialists, residential supervisors, and direct care staff.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for individuals in group homes.
  • Overseeing program operations, staffing, and compliance to meet regulatory standards.
  • Driving initiatives to improve efficiency, service delivery, and staff development.
  • Conducting site visits to provide support, mentorship, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborating with HR on hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Managing data collection, reporting, and continuous program evaluation.
  • Serving as an on-call administrator to support emergency and operational needs.
