About The Position

Associate Director of Admissions for Recruitment University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) Office of Enrollment Management Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management, the Associate Director of Admissions for Recruitment provides leadership in developing, organizing, and assessing a comprehensive external recruitment strategy to identify, attract, and enroll a highly qualified and diverse population of traditional, adult, and transfer students. This position plays a key role in advancing USCB's enrollment goals through innovative outreach, territory management, staff supervision, and data-informed decision-making. Why Join USCB? Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a job-related field and a minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 5 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
  • Work knowledge of admissions or related area in higher education, or sales related industry. Strong writing, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as the ability to work under pressure and multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive external recruitment program to drive enrollment growth across all student populations.
  • Direct and coordinate all virtual and in-person off-campus recruitment activities, including college fairs, high school visits, business and community events, and partnerships with two-year colleges.
  • Develop and manage recruitment territories, establish measurable goals, and monitor progress using the University's CRM system (Slate).
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate recruitment staff (full- and part-time) to ensure alignment with institutional enrollment objectives.
  • Create specialized recruitment initiatives for transfer students, adult learners, and other target populations.
  • Collaborate with the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management, admissions leadership, and campus partners to develop recruitment strategies and yield initiatives.
  • Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Represent the university at state, regional, and national recruitment events to promote USCB's academic programs, campus life, and student experience.
  • The Associate Director of Admissions for Recruitment is responsible for developing, planning, organizing, implementing, and assessing a comprehensive external recruitment plan to identify, attract, and enroll a highly qualified, diverse pool of traditional, adult, and transfer students to facilitate enrollment growth for USCB. Coordinate all virtual and in-person external recruitment activities & programs to include college fairs, high school visits, 2-year college recruitment events, and a specialized recruitment effort for transfer students.
  • Hire, train, supervise and manage USCB external recruiting staff (full and part-time). Establish state, regional, and national recruitment territories. Develop metrics for success including territory management, overall application, and enrollment goals by individual staff member. Evaluate effectiveness of recruiting activities by establishing recruitment goals and target yield utilizing University CRM (Currently Slate).
  • Manage an assigned recruitment territory, implement recruitment strategies, attend college fairs, high school visits, and other events; give campus tours, advise students and families of admission requirements, transfer guidelines, financial aid, etc.
  • Assist with the development and evaluation of admissions publications and recruitment materials. Work with Associate Admissions Director for Operations and the USCB Marketing and Communications Team to develop and improve recruiting materials and admissions publications to impact successful recruitment yield. Develop methods of evaluating materials success or weaknesses.
  • Coordinate the academic evaluation of freshman applicants, to determine admissions decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned including participation in on campus recruitment events, i.e. Campus Days, Accepted Student Days on all campuses.
