About The Position

The US Medical Cell Therapy organization is expanding and we are seeking an experienced, agile, and innovative Associate Director, Pan CAR T Portfolio to join the team. Reporting to the Senior Director, US Medical Portfolio Strategy Lead, this individual will be a member of the US Promotional Review (PReP) team, responsible for providing strategic medical advice for Autoimmune indications. They will also partner closely with Global Congress Excellence and the Cell Therapy Matrix to plan, develop, and coordinate review of branded/unbranded booth materials across the portfolio for US congresses.

Requirements

  • PharmD, MD, PhD preferred with minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical practice or the pharmaceutical industry
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a must; Cell Therapy experience preferred
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of medical review of promotional materials and familiarity with FDA promotional regulations
  • Strong scientific/medical written and verbal communication skills required
  • Experience in delivering a customer-focused service
  • Demonstrated ability to manage various projects, solve problems, deliver on commitments, and work with multiple multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrates flexibility in response to changing needs and competing demands
  • Developed business acumen and interpersonal skills to impact and influence senior internal stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with demonstrated success in driving optimal business results in a complex matrix organization required

Responsibilities

  • Critically review and proactively provide strategic advice for Autoimmune promotional materials/activities to ensure medical accuracy, appropriateness of content, and balance of messages in accordance with relevant guidance
  • Proactively build deep business relationships with internal stakeholders (commercial, regulatory, legal, etc.) in the US Promotional Review team to foster effective problem-solving collaboration and reach alignment on promotional materials/activities
  • Determine acceptability of data/references used to support promotional claims and provide expert guidance as well as effective negotiation leading to resolution for approval of pieces
  • Demonstrate excellence in leadership, including collaboration within a team-oriented structure, effective influencing and negotiating across matrix teams, and critical thinking
  • Participate in internal and external meetings (training, educational and others, including medical congresses and Matrix team meetings) to remain current on changing regulations, relevant new medical/scientific information and commercial strategy for assets in the Autoimmune indications
  • Partner effectively with BMS Global Congress Excellence, US medical leads, and partners across the Cell Therapy matrix to plan for, co-develop, and coordinate review of branded/unbranded booth materials that align with US medical objectives across the portfolio for US national and local-regional congresses
  • Participates in mentoring, coaching and training of new and existing colleagues.
  • Serves as a role model and provides strategic and technical/functional guidance
  • Promotes and ensures the sharing of best practices across the Promotional Review teams
  • Conducts business in accordance with BMS Values
