About The Position

The Associate Director of Operations, under the supervision of the Director of Program Services, is responsible for the management of operation functions to include food service, housekeeping, repairs and improvements, transportation and linen and supply. Schwartz Men’s Shelter is a shelter for men operating 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Clients are referred to the program by the New York City Department of Homeless Services. Requirements

• The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and five years of relevant experience including two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Excellent communication skills, word processing and spreadsheet computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned departments for quality operational services.
• Ensure facility complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with funder on assigned projects.
• Manage department staff.
• Manage department budget and purchasing activities.
