About The Position

Serve as the primary point of contact in the state of West Virginia with institutions and state authorities. Communicate and work closely with campus administration as a liaison of these relationships. Provide input to campus administration on budgetary needs for West Virginia program sites. Provide feedback on faculty and class performance at West Virginia sites. Direct the recruitment, admissions, financial aid activities, enrollment and class sizes of all West Virginia sites and site directors. Coordinate these activities with campus administration. Coordinate schedule, drafts and needs from West Virginia sites. Coordinate textbooks and tablet inventory with West Virginia site directors and sites. Manage the process of attendance, student counseling, transcript evaluation, academic probation/recognition and degree audits with the West Virginia site directors. Manage earned credit reporting at all sites (as required by the state). Working with the Executive Director of Correctional Education, Human Resources, and the Correctional Education Business Manager, hire and train new Site Directors, ensuring that the Site Director is competent in how to access AU programs (email, MyAU Portal, WebAdvisor, Kronos, Google docs, etc.), FERPA regulations and AU policies and the processes of student admission and registration. Monitor the site’s progress through a variety of means, including but not limited to on-site visits and weekly phone calls with stakeholders. Provide on-going support, both on-site and through phone calls, to the Site Directors throughout the semester (including, but not limited to, developing a process to troubleshoot instruction, technological, and personnel concerns as they arise throughout the first semester.) Site coverage as needed when site directors are absent or in times of position vacancy. Attend weekly correctional education department meetings with campus personnel. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) year’s relevant work experience
Experience in training and supervising others
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organization skills
Problem solving
Detail-oriented
Strong adherence to deadlines

Nice To Haves

Experience working in correctional education preferred
Experience working in higher education and/or K-12 education preferred
Master’s Degree preferred from a regionally accredited institution
