About The Position

Neurotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a private biotech company located in Cumberland, RI and Needham, MA, within the realm of Greater Boston’s vast biotechnology landscape. Since our inception more than 20 years ago, our focus has been on developing and commercializing transformative therapies for chronic eye diseases. The core platform technology, Encapsulated Cell Therapy (ECT), is a first-in-class drug delivery platform designed to slow the progression of chronic eye diseases. Neurotech’s first commercial product, ENCELTOTM (revakinagene taroretcel-lwey), is approved in the United States for the treatment of adults with idiopathic Macular Telangiectasia Type 2 (MacTel). Encapsulated cell-based gene therapy is designed to provide long-term, sustained delivery of therapeutic proteins for the treatment of chronic eye diseases. Logistics and Warehouse Leader is responsible for the coordination between internal manufacturing operations, Quality, and CMO’s, as applicable, to ensure reliable on-time flow of intermediates and drug product through the supply chain. You will have the responsibility to ensure the latest delivery information is kept up to date and relayed to your internal customers as well as identify and close gaps within the supply chain to satisfy customer expectations. Using your analytical and project management experiences, you will serve as an advocate for our internal and external customers by anticipating supply challenges and working end-to-end to find potential opportunities to pull in deliveries or releases prior to original delivery dates to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. In addition, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers/distributors. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics and Warehouse Associated Director/Director to join our team. The individual will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy and maximizing efficiency and productivity. The GMP Logistics and Warehouse leader manages the procurement, warehouse receiving, distribution of final product to 3PL, and oversight of 3PL to ensure consistent and robust quality standards are maintained throughout supply chain. Requirements

MS/BS in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or similar relevant field
Previous working experience as a Supply chain/Logistics/Warehouse Leadership for (5+) years within CBER/CDER regulated Biotech, Pharma, or related industries
Must be proficient with FDA/EMEA/USP/EP regulated GMP requirements
Previous experience setting up a logistics/warehousing management program.
Hands-on experience with Logistics management software (such as SAP, AP Modules, Tracelink, Bartender, etc.)
Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work individually as well as in as a Team player
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl 2/3 of time. Must be able to sit 1/3 of time.
Lift 10 lbs. continuously and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
May have to climb safety ladders to retrieve material in shelves.

Responsibilities

Ensure daily and weekly planned vs. actual measurements by tracking lot readiness from the moment it gets out of production to final release and shipment to customers
Represent Supply Chain in various prioritization activities using your knowledge of the lot status and risks.
Collaborate with customers within the value stream to interpret and research expedite requests.
Support product launches and line expansion as part of the value stream.
Work with Suppliers and internal departments to identify and develop potential solutions
Coordinate and oversee execution of the supply chain from strategy to commercial optimization
Oversee GMP Warehouse set up and operations
Collaborate with Quality, Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams
Determine key supply chain/warehouse KPIs
Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
Identify, Build, and Maintain good relationships with vendors
Oversee and accountable for all site inventory-raw material
Perform cycle counts on a scheduled basis
Confirm and mitigate material availability/shortages ahead of production impact
Oversee material and finished goods logistics processes, maintaining material master files within SAP.
Works with operations staff to ensure availability of supplies, reduce waste, use storage space effectively
Supplies and Equipment Procurement, Receiving and Inventory Management, and Distribution
Support Quality during new supplier identification, supplier qualification, supplier audits, new and material introduction.
Support CMC activities for IND/BLA filings
