The Associate Director has primary responsibility for providing direct student and administrative support services in the department and directly supervises two assistant directors, front desk supervisor, and indirectly an assignments coordinator, administrative assistant, student workers, and interns. The Associate Director is a highly visible member of the university community who interacts across divisional lines and works collaboratively with many segments of the university through education, consultation, advisement, and referral. The Associate Director provides leadership, management, and strategic direction for the housing contract and policies, applications and assignments, communications, marketing, and technology. This position establishes appropriate timetables for housing assignments processes including a communication plan, dates, and deadlines. The Associate Director works with students, faculty, staff, and university constituents to develop a learning-oriented student community that creates connections and opportunities for meaningful experiences.
