About The Position

The 3C Data Alliance (3C-https://www.dreamyard.com/3c-data-alliance) seeks to revolutionize data management in Creative Youth Development (CYD) organizations. The 3C Data Alliance project goals include: (1) design a powerful, user-friendly data management system, (2) deliver a system for CYD organizations that improves contact and program management, (3) engage young people in the design, use, and ownership of data systems to elevate youth voice, (4) provide an equitable model for collecting and analyzing data, and (5) build a national network of Creative Youth Development organizations to foster an equitable, youth-centered data community. The 3C Data Alliance uses a collaborative structure organized by a Steering Committee, a National Advisory Group, and DreamYard, a Bronx-based CYD organization acting as the lead partner and fiscal sponsor for the project. Position Overview The 3C Associate Director of Operations is a new role responsible for the day-to-day management of the 3C Data Alliance. Working closely with the Associate Director of Technology, this role manages project timelines, finances, and communications while facilitating collaboration across eight national member organizations and the Steering Committee. Key priorities include coordinating the Steering Committee's work and gradually assuming day-to-day management of the project from them, and managing the recruitment and non-technical onboarding of 15 new CYD organizations over the next three years. Both Associate Directors report to the Co-Executive Director of DreamYard, the lead partner and fiscal sponsor of the project.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of full-time professional nonprofit administrative experience, preferably in a Creative Youth Development or general arts organization
  • Project planning and management experience
  • General management experience, including hiring, contracting, and payments
  • Demonstrated capacity to support and sustain partnerships
  • Experience working with artists and youth
  • Experience supervising a small team, staff, and/or consultants
  • Grant writing and budget management experience
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; public speaking a plus.
  • Commitment to race equity and youth voice
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to administrative detail
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and building collaborative work environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make informed decisions under pressure
  • Experience and demonstrated interest in program evaluation/assessment, youth outcomes, data analysis, and reporting
  • Self-starter comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Canva
  • Familiarity with Creative Youth Development
  • Knowledge of privilege, oppression, and equity frameworks
  • Successful completion of background check

  • Experience with data management platforms, Salesforce preferred
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • 3C Community and Committee Management: Facilitate the Steering Committee and subcommittees, assuming day-to-day operations of all aspects of the project; manage project plans, timelines, and meeting logistics for all national stakeholder groups.
  • Strategic Growth: Provide thought leadership to elevate 3C’s national profile and impact.
  • Member Engagement: Lead member convenings and oversee the full lifecycle of member relations, from outreach and recruitment to non-technical aspects of onboarding.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Partner with the Associate Director of Technology to foster best practices and continuous learning across the network.
  • Youth & Advisory Initiatives: Manage and collaborate with the Youth Project Leader and Steering Committee to engage youth and National Advisory Group members.
  • Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day finances, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and reporting in coordination with the Steering Committee.
  • Technical & Admin Support: Manage technical support contracts, website updates, and training logistics; assist in gathering aggregate data for field-wide advocacy.
  • Resource Development: RManage the development calendar and grant reporting efforts.
  • Brand Management: Oversee all external communications, including branding, social media, newsletters, and project collateral.
  • Evaluation & Impact: Lead assessment planning and guide the process of aggregating and publishing collective impact surveys;
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Manage the process for annual reviews and reflections as well as a staff review process to measure project milestones and success.
  • Culture Building: Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture rooted in creativity, empowerment, equity, and effective communication.
