  • Ability to operate vehicles with a valid driver’s license in accordance with applicable state laws, insurance provider requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • A master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and one (1) year work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities; Or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years’ work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities; or An associate’s degree or sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited university or college and four (4) years’ experience in the supervision of community based programs working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Director of Community Living, develop the overall plan for the center, and supervise the implementation.
  • Review and evaluate prospective Adult Day and Older Adult individuals; schedule meetings with prospective new individuals; facilitate completion of necessary documentation; facilitate smooth transition and complete agency admission documentation
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with all funding and/or licensing entities, such as, but not limited to, the Office of Developmental Programs’ Adult Day Training Regulations and Older Adult Daily Living Center Regulations
  • Establish relationships with formal and informal community groups that will support individuals with disabilities.
  • Ensure proper staff coverage of individuals enrolled in the program, provide coverage as needed and ensure all is in alignment with Department’s budgetary goals
  • Oversee training and Orientating of staff and families to the philosophy of inclusion and its practical implementation.
  • Develop opportunities for inclusion in integrated community activities.
  • Develop volunteer resources to offer individuals with disabilities.
  • Seek opportunities to emphasize the positive social interaction possibilities for individuals with disabilities.
  • Ensure that individuals are encouraged to exercise their rights and that their rights are protected.
  • Supervise the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, development and evaluating of all employees in the center.
  • Monitor staff compliance with all state, county and Delta policies and procedures.
  • Develop and submit budget requests to the accounting department.
  • Maintain fiscal control over all expenditures to ensure a balanced budget, as approved.
  • Submit required/requested reports to the county, state and President’s office.
  • Represent the Division to other agencies, local and state officials, and the public.
  • Oversee the maintenance of digital case files by coordinating the follow with the Program Specialists.
  • Ensure that Unusual Incident Reports are submitted timely that are reviewed and approved by the Director of Community I Living.
  • Ensure that investigations are conducted as required or as assigned by the Director of Community Living.
  • Analyze program risks continuously and develop corrective plans to avoid potential incidents.
  • Ensure safety compliance for individuals within the Day Support setting and the staff who work there.
  • Ensure that daily attendance is reviewed and entered into Evolv
  • Review community outings in Evolv that are entered by Community Support Professionals and/or Program Specialists.
  • Ensure case notes are written in accordance with ODP and other licensing entity guidelines.
  • Participate in the preparation of licensing and auditing reviews.
  • Conduct documented internal audits.
  • Assist with organization-wide expansion projects.
  • Promote and demonstrate ethical and professional conduct at all times.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement projects.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, staff development and training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
