About The Position

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic-minded Associate Director of Supply Chain Systems and Tools management to drive transformational changes within our global Supply Chain organization. This critical leadership role will partner with the Digital Technology organization to support the existing systems as well as projects for future updates of both Ariba and the Supplier Portal. The Systems and Tools leader will be responsible for development of all user training and support plans, system enhancement execution and roll-out and process optimization efforts for both Ariba and the Supplier Portal. The role will be critical for Collins Supply Chain in their transformation journey to harmonize, optimize and digitize our Supply Chain processes across Collins and in collaboration with RTX Corporate and the other Business Units.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Process Optimization, or Operations within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
  • Leadership: 5+ years of experience managing direct reports and leading large, complex, cross-functional project teams.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills required. Demonstrated expertise in process mapping, Six Sigma/Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, change management, and enterprise system implementations (SAP S4 Hana, Ariba, Supplier Portal).
  • A&D Experience: Deep acumen regarding Supply Chain procurement and sourcing processes, strong understanding of the regulatory environment and compliance requirements (e.g., ITAR, CSD), process standardization, change management, working across a matrixed enterprise, and unique challenges within the Aerospace and Defense supply chain are mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • System Optimization & Standardization
  • System Architecture & Governance: Lead the team that supports existing Ariba and Supplier Portal systems including users, configuration maintenance and enhancement evaluation and implementation.
  • Partner with Business Process and Data Analytics Teams: Collaborate with the other teams in the Enablement CoE to ensure standard processes and data sets are supported in Ariba and the Supplier Portals.
  • Team Performance KPIs: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and set goals to track team performance.
  • Training & Talent Development: Maintain training documentation to ensure a standard, role-based plan for all supply chain resources.
  • Transformation Project: Support the business in its journey to transform Supply Chain as required.
  • Project Execution & Strategic Initiatives Leadership Lead and provide governance of Ariba/Ariba CRE and the Supplier Portals.
  • Digital Transformation Strategy: Partner with Digital Technology (DT) teams to determine the strategy for implementing Ariba CRE (data secure version) and the One Portal projects for the supply chain function. Achieve all schedules associated with those projects and meet objectives of these projects including the successful end-of-life of legacy systems.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance Projects: Ensure all relevant internal Ariba process configurations for all modules (sourcing, contracts, buying, forms, catalogues) as well as both the Supplier Portal and Ariba manage data export rules correctly.
  • ERP & Digital Integration: Serve as the S4 Hana PST S2P SME lead for the interface between S4 and One Portal and Ariba.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Support the implementation of twelve new automated projects in SC for 2026. Work extensively with team peers in System and Tools and the Data Analytics and Business Process teams to automate wherever possible including electronic forms, catalogues, workflows and approval processes.
