The Role We are seeking an experienced Mobility Assignment Leader to join our global HR services team. The candidate will lead international mobility programs and immigration, ensuring smooth relocations, strong compliance, an exceptional employee experience and guide best in class policy and processes. This position partners closely with mobility vendor advisory services, assignees, HR business partners, payroll, compensation and legal to ensure effective stewardship of Kyndryl global mobility programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring Kyndryl has the right talent in the right place at the right time to support customers globally. Requirements

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in global mobility, expatriate management, or international HR roles, including leadership responsibility.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of global immigration, tax, and labor regulations across multiple countries.
  • Vendor Management: Proven experience managing global third‑party mobility vendors and advisory partners.
  • People Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams in a global environment.
  • Skills: Strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy, Policy & Governance Own and evolve Kyndryl’s global mobility strategy, policies, and operating model to support business growth and talent development. Establish standards of practice, governance frameworks, approval processes, and exception management. Ensure mobility programs are aligned with workforce planning and the broader talent strategy.
  • Program & Operational Leadership Lead end‑to‑end international assignment programs, including immigration, tax coordination, relocation, and destination services Serve as escalation point for complex, sensitive, or high‑risk mobility cases Ensure consistent, high‑quality employee and manager experience across regions
  • Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with immigration, tax, labor, and internal policy requirements across multiple countries. Partner closely with Legal, Tax, Payroll, and Compensation to mitigate regulatory, tax, and permanent establishment risks. Maintain audit readiness, documentation standards, and internal controls
  • Vendor & Financial Management Select, manage, and govern global mobility vendors, including RFPs, performance management, and SLA oversight. Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and overall mobility spend. Drive cost transparency and value optimization across global mobility programs.
  • Analytics, Process & Technology Define and track global mobility KPIs and dashboards (e.g., cost, cycle time, compliance, employee experience). Assess program effectiveness and ROI; recommend and implement continuous improvements. Lead process simplification, standardization, and automation, including the use of mobility tools and systems.
  • Stakeholder & People Leadership Advise HR Business Partners and business leaders on mobility options, risks, and trade‑offs. Educate stakeholders on mobility policies, decision frameworks, and best practices. Lead, coach, and develop global mobility team members; mentor junior colleagues and build bench strength
