The additional context, perspective and insights we provide have helped fund a century of growth and enables you to make important credit judgments with confidence.   Associate Director – Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals   Fitch’s North American Corporates Group is seeking a Associate Director for coverage of the Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sector, either in our New York, Chicago, or Toronto office.    Qualitative credentials will weigh meaningfully in the selection of the candidate. A healthy sense of intellectual curiosity is critical, along with a demonstrated willingness and ability to attack and explain topics of analytical complexity. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, MBA or other advanced degree a plus for the Associate Director title
• CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred
• 4+ years relevant experience depending on the title, some coverage or knowledge of the Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sector a plus
• Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus
• Expertise in Excel and Word
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change and work in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Some knowledge of and a keen interest in learning more about the Healthcare industries
• Professional background in capital markets and/or credit analysis and well-developed financial statement analysis skills
• Desire to deepen their exposure to and understanding of the debt capital markets
• A strong pattern of leadership and the ability to proactively and successfully interact with various stakeholders, both within and outside of the organization

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sectors
• Develop and maintaining comprehensive financial models
• Engage with industry management teams to gain insights and enhance analysis
• Present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees and participate in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates, as well as other related credit groups
• Involvement in communicating rating rationale to external audiences (primarily institutional investors, sell-side analysts and media) in meetings, conference calls, press releases and written research reports
• Contribute to the writing of timely and effective research on topical issues.
