About The Position

As an Associate Director, Global Procurement you will help to define and implement the global Contract development & Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) Category strategy serving global and regional research services portfolio and pre-clinical development business needs. We collaborate with partners leading discussions related to the CDMO Category, aligning priorities with Procurement management and our functional partners. A typical day may include the following: Collaborates driving contract negotiations and execution with academic institutions, research licensing deals, research consultants & related activities. Leads category strategy, supplier relationship management (SRM) programs, contract negotiations and MSA execution. Works with our leadership to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings as part of end-to-end category management. Represents Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results. Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements. Manage category activities to ensure compliance across functions with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable. Negotiates contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneron's priorities and business requirements. Manages a team of professional level employees responsible for performing category management and sourcing activities. Provide coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports and provides leadership examples for the organization. Coaches proficiency on procurement technical skills among others within global procurement. This may be for you if you: Want to be part of the evolution of a growing Global Procurement team. Requirements

  • To be considered a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required along with progressive experience in procurement.
  • Experience successfully managing global category processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories is required.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams in the CDMO or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management is required.
  • Expertise insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures.
  • Demonstrates success and experience with cost models and total cost of ownership models.
  • Successful implementation of inventory management programs including technology solutions (RFID, QR codes, others), consignment programs, VMI solutions, etc.
  • Knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP's, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)
  • Knowledge and hands on experience implementing sourcing platform technologies preferred (LabViva, Zageno, ScienceExhange, Scientist.com, others)
  • Ability to use data analytics, automation and visualization tools to drive insights and communicate to leadership (PowerBI, Tableau, Power Automate)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading and guiding associate level professionals including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, coaching, and developing other is preferred.
