Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine The Associate Director, Cross-TA Strategy and Execution is responsible for cross-therapeutic strategies and process oversight. This position supports the strategic objectives of the Global Medical Affairs function and will partner across Medical Affairs therapeutic areas, regions, and where appropriate other worldwide functions such as R&D and Commercial to drive impactful outcomes in J&J Innovative Medicine Medical Affairs. This role advances the strategic objectives of Global Medical Affairs by delivering comprehensive operational and project management support as required. The primary responsibilities for this position include initiatives including but not limited to: HCP identification and profiling platforms and HCP engagement platforms globally Core Asset Theme process, training, reviews & dashboards Provide project management support for strategic review meetings across initiatives Provide additional operations and/or project management support based on evolving business needs

Requirements

  • A minimum of a BA/BS required with an advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of pharmaceutical experience is required.
  • Experience in a medical, clinical or scientific environment is required.
  • General knowledge of external HCP engagements is required.
  • Ability to drive projects forward to completion while maintaining focus on the long-term strategy is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Project Management tools and techniques is preferred.
  • PMP or related project management certification is preferred.
  • Skills in six sigma improvement methodologies, performance measurement, and change management are preferred.
  • Experience acting as a liaison with Information Technology, Health Care Compliance and Procurement is preferred.
  • Experience in managing budgets and vendors is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict, influence teams, and to build relationships in meeting organizational objectives without formal authority is required.
  • Ability to thrive in areas of ambiguity and influencing change in a matrixed environment is required.
  • Global mindset with proven ability to partner cross culturally, regionally, and across functions is preferred.
  • Proven experience in driving results in a highly complex and rapidly changing environment is required.
  • Ability to create presentations for an executive-level audience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of Global Medical Affairs strategic priorities and participate as a core team member to support strategic systems initiatives, including HCP Profiling & Engagement, in partnership with business owners and IT
  • Provide support on the strategic systems (such as HCP Profiling & Engagement) to all regions, functions and therapeutic areas including but not limited to access, training, workshops and troubleshooting
  • Apply project management concepts to support other Global Medical Affairs processes and/or special initiatives as needed, including creation of project plans, coordination with relevant stakeholders, developing communications, identifying and escalating barriers to success, coordinating linkages with intersecting initiatives, and executing change management plans
  • Lead additional key initiatives for Global Medical Affairs as assigned by the Sr. Director, Strategic Operations
