Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine Purpose: The Associate Director, Global Commercial Insights and Analytics, Immunology will support and report to the Director of Global Commercial Insights and Analytics. Primary responsibilities include conducting primary and secondary market research & developing patient-based demand forecasts leveraging secondary data sources, market research insights, real world evidence platforms and competitive intelligence to inform strategic commercial decisions in support of Immunology product development. Individuals who will thrive in this role are motivated by working with a close-knit team of experienced industry leaders who are deeply motivated to create profound change for patients and advocate for stakeholders. Associate Directors will have a deep understanding of the patient journey and an ability to represent it across teams. Responsibilities include primary and secondary market research, forecasting and analytics for early pipeline compounds through late stage/marketed products and involve close collaboration with: Commercial Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Competitive Intelligence, R&D, Finance, Business Development, Data Science and Regional Insights and Analytics colleagues. Critical capabilities include the ability to think strategically and lead through complexity to develop insight-based recommendations that include an understanding of global market dynamics. Creativity, curiosity, strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively and a sense of humor are welcome on our team.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Ability to develop and execute innovative and novel approaches for insight generation when and where appropriate.
  • Capable of leading cross-functional teams of people.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time and effectively manage external partners is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Curiosity and growth mindset to learn and build/improve skill sets
  • This position requires up to 10% travel domestic and/or international travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Primary Market Research experience is strongly preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical forecast modeling and business analytics strongly preferred.
  • Background in behavioral science, data sciences, epidemiology, statistics, finance, or pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing patient-based demand forecasts and conducting primary and secondary market research in a timely manner and within budget constraints
  • Present long-range forecasts and integrated market research findings to a broad, cross-functional audience, including leadership
  • Analyze and evaluate large data sets, provide high level conclusions
  • Monitoring, collaborating and communicating cross-functionally with competitive intelligence, finance, medical affairs, regulatory and other key functions
  • Objectively translate market needs and requirements into actionable recommendations and tactics that ensure commercial preparation, including go-to-market strategies and pre-launch planning.
