Under the supervision of the Director of Disability Services, the Associate Director of Disability Services serves as a senior operational and program leader within the Gary Shupin Independent Living Community. This role supports the strategic growth and day-to-day leadership of Shupin’s programs serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by overseeing employment initiatives for Shupin residents; overseeing the Shupin Social Club programming; supporting behavioral support to residents and representing department in community outreach and engagement activities. The Associate Director directly supervises the Career and Employment Specialist, Job Coaches, and the Social Club Program Manager, and serves as a deputy to the Director of Disability Services, providing operational coverage and decision-making authority in the Director’s absence. As the program grows, the Associate Director role may expand to include additional programmatic oversight and supervisory responsibilities.
