About This Role The Associate Director, Corporate Strategy Immunology and Nephrology will provide commercial and strategic support to Biogen’s early pipeline assets (pre-POC) and support transaction target screening and evaluation, assessment of potential targets and execution of Business Development and Licensing, M&A and other transactions that enable and accelerate Biogen’s long-term strategy. This individual will support and lead strategic projects, execute due diligence, play a key role in negotiations, contribute to the creation of presentations to senior leadership committees, and contribute to the development of transaction strategy and tactics. This role will report to the Corporate Strategy Immunology/Nephrology Lead, covering early BIIB pipeline support, licensing, collaborations and M&A opportunities across all stages of development in Biogen’s areas of focus in the Immunology and Nephrology space. What You’ll Do Partner with early pipeline program teams and Pipeline PDC to provide commercial and strategic support to rare disease portfolio pre-POC pipeline program teams Conduct market assessment and competitive landscape analyses Drive MPP/TPP development with program team, KME, and internal expert input Enable indication prioritization and sequencing strategy Drive opportunity sizing and forecasting Support Go-no-Go framework development and Go-No-Go decision making Support Business Development and Licensing and M&A target screening and evaluation process from identification of external opportunities through to contract negotiation Manage and lead business development project process across a range of deal types within Immunology and Nephrology areas of focus for Biogen Manage cross-functional teams to drive due commercial and strategic diligence and build the business case for potential transactions Provide support for Business Development and M&A and other corporate transactions in partnership with Corporate Development, Corporate Finance, Commercial, R&D, and other functions Understand strategy of the organization and work collaboratively across the organization to identify, evaluate, and, as appropriate, execute transactions Who You Are You are a collaborative, results-oriented individual who is experienced with assessing market opportunities, multiple business development and/or M&A transactions. You love analyzing data, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and excel in building relationships with business stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
