About The Position

At Viridian, we are focused on developing best-in-class medicines for people living with autoimmune and rare diseases. Leveraging our team's expertise in antibody discovery and engineering, we have created a robust pipeline of differentiated investigational therapeutic candidates for well-validated targets. We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Associate Director, Commercial Analytics to join our dynamic Commercial team. This role will report to the SD Forecasting, Analytics, and Market Insights and will be responsible for transforming complex, multi-source commercial data-including claims, Specialty Distributor (SD), Specialty Pharmacy (SP), and Patient Services (HUB) activity-into clear, actionable insights. The Associate Director will lead the development of reporting capabilities, execute advanced analytics, and serve as a critical business partner, directly influencing patient conversion and enabling data-driven decisions that optimize launch performance. This position is based in our Waltham, MA headquarters. Our office-based employees are required to work in the office three days a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in commercial analytics or insights in biotech/pharma
  • Strong understanding and experience working with pharmaceutical commercial data sets, such as SP, SD, claims, syndicated data sets (DDD, Xponent)
  • Expertise in proprietary patient services data and analysis (HUB)
  • Expertise in developing and operationalizing KPIs for measuring brand performance
  • Proficiency with visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and statistical/programming languages (SQL, Python, R)
  • Experience with marketing mix modeling, multivariate regression, and other statistical techniques
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven mindset of proactive continuous improvement
  • Efficient independent worker with ability to focus and drive for results

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of commercial reporting solutions and performance metrics to provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights to leadership, commercial, and operational teams
  • Identify key drivers of launch performance, diagnose performance variance versus forecast, and proactively uncover risks and opportunities
  • Execute complex, integrated advanced analytics projects, combining disparate data sources including SD transactions, SP dispensing, proprietary Patient Services (HUB) activity, and longitudinal claims data (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony)
  • Lead patient journey analytics using longitudinal claims, SP, and HUB data to identify barriers to initiation, map referrals, and size new treatment opportunities
  • Drive marketing channel performance and ROI analysis to maximize promotional effectiveness and ensure optimal resource allocation and brand investment
  • Synthesize findings from various analytical projects into a compelling, cohesive story, effectively communicating and presenting recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Partner with key functions across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Finance to enhance and evolve reporting solutions ensuring continuous alignment with business needs
  • Work collaboratively with Data Operations and IT teams to implement dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and ensure proper tracking, data capture, and seamless integration of different data sources
  • Translate high-level strategic commercial objectives into specific, measurable analytical projects that yield clear, quantifiable business results
  • Serve as the dedicated, strategic business partner to Patient Services HUB leadership, applying data to inform and optimize operational effectiveness and resource allocation
  • Execute detailed patient funnel analysis (e.g., enrollment, adherence, conversion) to systematically identify bottlenecks and friction points in the patient journey and time-to-therapy
  • Develop analytical frameworks to rigorously assess the impact of various HUB interventions (e.g., co-pay assistance, adherence calls) on overall patient experience and prescription fulfillment
  • Proactively monitor and report on critical patient conversion metrics, providing real-time feedback and strategic recommendations to ensure a best-in-class, seamless patient experience
