The US Oncology Network within McKesson’s US Pharmaceutical (USP) Segment is seeking to accelerate the impact and outcomes of our businesses by bringing on an Associate Director, Business Development. Reporting to the Vice President, Due Diligence and Strategy, this role will include regular involvement with the M&A Finance team, practice leadership and other department leads who support the development process. As a result, the role requires the ability to communicate with cross functional leaders, grasp complex financial modeling along with maintaining a trusted advisor capacity to internal and external customers. The position is a launching pad for career advancement into Business Development or other financial roles within the company. The Associate Director, Business Development, is responsible for supporting The US Oncology Network development and M&A Finance teams to help reach financial growth targets. One of the primary objectives of this role is to support the business development process to shorten the overall sales process and assist the financial valuations team in their evaluation of selected targets. In addition, the Associated Director will be expected to take a leadership role in on-boarding and acting as an on-going resource for the Managers of Business Development.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • 4-year degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or equivalent degree.
  • 7+ years of financial analysis/business development experience in a corporate/consulting environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels of large businesses and provide strategic thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and be solutions-oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the financial modeling with respect to forecasting cash flow, identifying market opportunities, and estimating the overall transaction economics.
  • Developing customer facing presentations that include PPT presentations and other financial summaries.
  • Managing the overall deal process, including coordination among various functions such as legal and operational leadership, to shorten the overall sales cycle and help reach growth goals.
  • Coordinating the development of market analytics and growth strategies for supporting markets.
  • Supporting the due diligence process of incoming practices to assess risk and opportunities, and to help finalize the practice’s budget.
  • Assisting with on-boarding and acting as an on-going resource for Managers of Business Development.
  • Preparing presentations for field-based directors regarding financial transaction and value proposition.
  • Communicating internally with legal/M&A Finance and operations to help solve deal points and quantify areas of growth.
  • Developing market analytics to support strategic initiatives by market.
  • Researching current support services and acting is a liaison capacity to help communication flow to directors.
  • Assisting with the due diligence process.
  • Assisting with on-boarding and acting as an on-going resource for Managers of Business Development.
