About The Position

We are looking for an Associate Director, Business Development, to join our high-energy, passionate team. This role is responsible for executing marketing initiatives that directly support business development and new business generation. The Associate Director, Business Development, is a key member of the team responsible for bringing Pace’s 2026 growth and marketing plan to life. This role sits at the center of business development execution, helping to turn strategy into action across events, marketing programs, sales enablement, and new business pursuits. This person will help manage the day-to-day execution of Pace’s demand generation and marketing initiatives, working closely with the Chief Growth Officer to support priority pursuits through marketing content, outreach programs, events, and sales enablement materials. The role helps execute targeted outreach campaigns that introduce Pace to prospective clients and strengthen relationships with existing prospects. This position manages key marketing tools and channels that support business development, including supporting industry events and conference preparation , HubSpot CRM, email outreach, website content, social media, and thought leadership programs . This person will also play an important role in prospect research, pursuit development, and maintaining the materials the team uses to win new work. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across Pace, including Managing Directors, Client Solutions, Creative, Strategy, and external partners. Two direct reports - an Associate Content Marketing Specialist and a Senior Art Director - report to this role and support the broader business development organization through the creation of marketing and new business

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, communications, business development, or related roles, ideally within an agency, consulting, or professional services environment.
  • Strong ability to execute marketing programs and manage multiple initiatives that support business development and pipeline growth
  • Ability to maintain and continuously improve sales enablement materials , incorporating feedback and insights on what resonates in the market
  • Experience supporting business development, sales, or demand generation programs
  • Comfort working with CRM / marketing platforms (HubSpot, LinkedIn, Winmo, or similar)
  • Diverse media and content experience across print and digital channels ; mobile and social experience a plus
  • Strong writing/communication skills, especially for presentations and marketing materials
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business development leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track pipeline activity and marketing impact
  • Ability to stay organized and maintain momentum across multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Grace under pressure , with the ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Execute Pace's Growth & Marketing Plan
  • Help drive the execution of Pace’s annual business development and marketing initiatives
  • Manage the execution of demand generation activities that support pipeline growth
  • Manage HubSpot CRM to support marketing campaigns, prospect outreach, contact management, and marketing performance tracking
  • Event & Industry Engagement Management
  • Lead preparation and coordination for key industry conferences and events, including logistics, marketing support, speaking engagements and follow-up activities
  • Help maximize the impact of Pace’s participation in industry events through outreach, materials, and on-site coordination
  • Maintain Pace’s relationships with industry organizations such as ANA, AMA, CMA, CMI, Ad Age, Adweek, One Club, and Gartner
  • Marketing & Brand Execution
  • Lead development of marketing content including white papers, blog articles, social media posts, and thought leadership
  • Support the development and distribution of content for prospects
  • Manage Pace’s website in collaboration with Pace Interactive , our in-house digital development team, including routine CMS updates such as posting case studies, thought leadership, and marketing content
  • Ensure consistent messaging across digital channels to support awareness and lead generation
  • Sales & New Business Support
  • Support the business development team with marketing materials, content, and outreach that strengthen active pursuits
  • Maintain and evolve sales materials, including creds decks, case studies, etc.
  • Support the development of tailored materials for new business opportunities and RFPs
  • Help manage inbound deal flow and assist with pursuit coordination
  • Manage and maintain Pace’s case study library , working with project teams to document new work and ensure materials are accessible for business development
  • Manage and direct two team members supporting marketing and business development efforts
  • Prospecting & Pipeline Support
  • Conduct and oversee prospect research to identify potential new business opportunities
  • Use tools such as LinkedIn, HubSpot, and ZoomInfo to help identify and target prospects
  • Support outreach efforts and help coordinate introductions to prospective clients
