Your Mission: The Associate Director supports the Senior Director in the operational management of multiple Assisted Living and Memory Support communities. This role provides non-clinical leadership, staff development, resident and family support, and operational quality oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and a positive community culture. Requirements

  • Arizona Certified Caregiver required
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in Assisted Living or Memory Support
  • CPR/First Aid and Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, required or obtainable
  • Arizona Certified Caregiver required
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in Assisted Living or Memory Support

  • Assisted Living Manager (ALM) Certification, preferred or obtainable

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations across communities, ensuring consistent delivery of resident-centered services.
  • Oversee non-clinical aspects of admissions, move-ins, documentation completeness, and family onboarding.
  • Assist with staffing oversight, including reviewing trends, coordinating coverage solutions, and supporting scheduling processes.
  • Coach, mentor, and support care teams in customer service, teamwork, and adherence to Sun Health values.
  • Participate in onboarding, evaluations, and performance feedback in collaboration with the Senior Director.
  • Promote a positive culture grounded in resident dignity, service excellence, and trauma-informed dementia care practices.
  • Conduct or oversee operational audits, including environmental safety rounds and customer experience evaluations.
  • Support preparation for surveys and internal audits, ensuring non-clinical documentation and processes are complete and compliant.
  • Collect, track, and assist in interpreting operational metrics (hospital transfers, service utilization, response times, etc.).
  • Maintain proactive communication with residents and families regarding service delivery, concerns, and satisfaction.
  • Assist with issue resolution and support Senior Director in managing escalated concerns.
  • Help ensure resident rights, dignity, and quality of life are upheld.
