Brandeis University invites applications for the role of Associate Director, Antisemitism Initiatives—a senior leadership opportunity within a nationally significant effort to confront antisemitism through education, dialogue, and coalition-building. Launched in 2023 in response to rising antisemitism on American campuses, the President’s Initiative on Antisemitism reflects Brandeis’ historic responsibility to the Jewish community and its enduring commitment to the ideals of higher education. The Initiative works across faiths, professions, and institutions to deepen understanding of antisemitism and to equip leaders with the knowledge and tools to challenge it in meaningful, lasting ways. This role is ideal for a seasoned educator, interfaith leader, or scholar-practitioner who is ready to shape programs, influence national conversations, and expand the pipeline of professionals capable of teaching about antisemitism in all its contemporary forms. The Opportunity Reporting to the Director of the President’s Initiative on Antisemitism, the Associate Director plays a central role in advancing the Initiative’s mission and strategic growth. The position focuses on two primary audiences: Religious leaders (Jewish and non-Jewish) Content experts and educators who can expand the field of antisemitism education Working closely with the Director, the Associate Director helps set strategy, design high-impact programs, and extend the Initiative’s reach through a train-the-trainer model. Programs emphasize interfaith leadership, clergy education, and rigorous engagement with contemporary antisemitism, antizionism, Israeli history and society, and Palestinian history and society. As the Initiative evolves, this role will also help support expansion into new audiences, including media professionals and policymakers, while strengthening existing programs.
