Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? The Aftermarket Business Operations – North America team is looking for a Technology Leader. In this role you will be shaping our aftermarket operations towards a high-performance, future-ready Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) network. You will be leading the strategic deployment of advanced automation, connectivity, intelligent systems and new technology insertion into both our repair processes and disassembly, assembly & test (DAT) processes across Aftermarket Operations. This role is key to our Aftermarket Operations transformation journey – directly impacting safety, quality, delivery and cost. It will have direct linkage to pervasive lean, process control, automation, new technologies, and connected manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 10+ years of experience of experience in Operations, Engineering, Project Management or technical role within a complex, high‑precision production environment; OR Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience in relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing both direct & indirect reports.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology deployment, or capability implementation to include automation, digital manufacturing, advanced machining, or next‑generation manufacturing technologies.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in STEM field; Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering fields preferred.
  • Experience leading capital strategy, technology roadmaps, and large‑scale transformation.
  • Experience with controls hardware design utilizing a broad range of components and architectures.
  • Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures, ideally within a repair station or engine DAT environment.
  • Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience.
  • Project management experience and ability to lead large, complex projects across different time zones.
  • Ability to interpret high level business requirements, and liaise between business customers, technology teams and support teams.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and principles (e.g. CORE/ACE, Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Power Bi, Ignition! SQL, Digital Twin, Kepware, SAP ERP, Solumina MES and Teamcenter.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and influence senior leadership, peers, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance, coaching and feedback to a team responsible for deploying & coordinating new technologies across our network
  • Set the vision and strategy for our Aftermarket technology roadmap to include automation, digital manufacturing, advanced inspection, and next‑generation repair strategies. Ensure alignment with business objectives to include a unified Aftermarket approach, customer requirements, and enterprise standards.
  • Define an AMO level business case model for successful network deployment.
  • Lead capital planning and deployment to ensure investments align with long‑term capability needs and industry competitiveness.
  • Lead the deployment of a common technology passport framework across AMO in alignment with RTX Enterprise Management (REPM) for technology projects execution and industrialization.
  • Optimize effectiveness in communication and influential leadership to inspire, align, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, driving meaningful impact and organizational change.
  • Work directly with our Aftermarket units to identify and prioritize technology projects.
  • Work with Aftermarket Sustainment Engineering (ASE) counterparts and other suppliers to develop potential solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, across various disciplines with conflicting needs/priorities. Identify roadblocks/risks, provide mitigations & solutions to continuously advance progress.
  • Serve as a key member of the Business Operations leadership team, influencing strategy, driving transformation, and shaping the future of the Aftermarket Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable RTX and Pratt & Whitney policies and procedures including individual employee awareness of responsibility and accountability. Demonstrate ethical leadership and compliance.
