About The Position

Advanced Manufacturing Technology Engineer Job Summary: Our client in Georgetown, KY is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Technology Engineer. This is a contract position. What You Will Do: Work with deploy new virtual safety system which will allow robots to work without fences. Proven experience in development of innovative projects in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience with project management including writing detailed scopes of work, creating schedules, managing vendors/contractors, and providing regular status updates. Proven use of computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) engineering software techniques. Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings. Proven demonstration of installing manufacturing equipment. Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Experience in PLC Projects, including program writing, teaching, and safety standards. Evidence of deployed machine vision systems. Basics: 2+ years of Automotive Industry experience. Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering or Robotics Engineering. (Degree should be through an ABET accredited program). 100% onsite. Travel: 25%, domestic and international to Canada for meetings. An ideal candidate should be experience with full PLC programming from the scratch. Toyopuc experience. Hands-on experience in developing and integrating robotic systems using ROS “Robot Operating System”. Experience with Vision Systems. Preferred: Project Manufacturing exp. Masters or PHD degree in controls, robotics or mechatronics discipline. Proven experience with JSA/JHA. Experience in construction management. Experience in automotive manufacturing plant. Project Management certification. Proven experience with securing approval of funding for projects. Familiarity with SAE/ISO, NFPA/NEC, and UL standards. Proven experience with conducting equipment risk assessments. Experience deploying and troubleshooting vision systems. Requirements

  • 2+ years of Automotive Industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering or Robotics Engineering. (Degree should be through an ABET accredited program).
  • 100% onsite.
  • Travel: 25%, domestic and international to Canada for meetings.
  • An ideal candidate should be experience with full PLC programming from the scratch.
