About The Position

Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock, is a leading infrastructure investor specializing in investing in, owning, and operating large and complex assets across energy, transport, digital infrastructure, and water and waste management sectors. GIP manages over $189 billion in assets. The firm focuses on real infrastructure assets, leveraging its proprietary origination network and operational expertise to manage client capital and create positive economic impact. GIP is seeking an Associate to join its Digital Infrastructure Private Equity investment team. Associates will be crucial in underwriting and managing investments for both GIP’s Flagship Fund and the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership (AIP) fund.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic background
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking and/or private equity
  • Superior analytical, financial modeling, and accounting skills
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • High level of professionalism, intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and self-awareness
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to working in team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, or TMT

Responsibilities

  • Developing, utilizing, and analyzing robust financial models to support deal underwriting and deal structuring.
  • Working with deal team members to assess and execute new investments, including conducting due diligence, financial review, and preparing presentation materials for the investment committee.
  • Performing market research, including research on potential investments, industries, and competitive positioning.
  • Assisting in the monitoring of portfolio companies, including analysis of corporate development, add-on, and financing opportunities, analyzing budgets, interacting with key members of management, and positioning business to be prepared for exit.
