The Associate Dean for Education (ADE) provides strategic and operational leadership for all academic programs within the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing including pre-licensure, post-licensure, graduate, and certificate programs. These programs include BSN, MN, MSN, DNP, PhD and health professions programs, MS in Cardiovascular Perfusion Science and the development of new programs, MS in Nutrition, MS in Healthcare Analytics and BS in Health Systems Leadership. Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean works closely with the Provost’s Office, Woodruff Health Sciences Center (WHSC), Laney Graduate School, and the Council of Associate Deans across Emory University to advance the school’s educational mission. The ADE provides additional leadership for the school to achieve its strategic goals and is expected to work collaboratively with all other Senior Associate Deans, Associate Deans, Assistant Deans and the faculty to assure a culture of educational excellence, faculty leadership, discovery and scholarship and innovative practice. In this capacity, the ADE ensures that programs meet the highest standards of quality, comply with regulatory and accreditation requirements and fosters an environment where faculty and students can thrive in achieving academic excellence.
