About The Position

United Community is seeking a motivated and curious Associate Data Application Developer to join our Enterprise Data team. This role plays a key part in accelerating data product adoption and building data-driven applications that improve data accessibility and reduce manual reporting across the organization. You will collaborate with senior developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to design intuitive solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems or a related field or equivalent education experience can be substituted.
  • 0-2 years of professional development experience
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with SQL and relational databases
  • Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset and adaptability in a fast-evolving environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Streamlit, Sigma)
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance
  • Previous internship or project experience in data-related roles
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices
  • Banking or financial industry experience is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data-centric applications using modern platforms (Python, Streamlit, Microsoft Power Platform, Sigma, etc)
  • Collaborate with senior developers on application architecture, design patterns, and best practices
  • Assist in designing and implementing data pipelines and integrations with Snowflake and other enterprise systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, maintain version control (Git), and contribute to CI/CD processes
  • Document technical processes and maintain code repositories
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional applications
  • Support testing, debugging, and performance optimization of applications
  • Document technical processes and application functionality for knowledge sharing and sustainability
  • Position requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
