About The Position

Cheil Dallas, part of Cheil Worldwide, is seeking an Associate Creative Director - Copy to partner with an Art Director. If you are part of a creative team, let us know in the comments. Who you are is just as important as (if not more important than!) what you can do. You don’t just write, you come up with ideas. Big ideas. Strategic ideas. Social-first ideas. Your wordsmithing is simply the vehicle you use to show us, and the world, how to make brands stand out on a global stage. Your curiosity has made you a purveyor of everything from trends, to classic ads to human truths. And you use that wealth of knowledge to create campaigns, stunts (online and IRL) and ads that catch attention and win over hearts and minds. You can work smart, fast and with others. You’ve also got enough time under your belt to teach the next generation of creatives what makes your work great. Writing, presenting, concepting. You live it, you love it and you want to show others how to do it. This is your classic, creative ACD role, just with an even greater emphasis on conceptual grit and social/innovative savvy. We need one half of a team (partners welcome btw) that’s going to come up with the big ideas. And smart little ones. We need you to craft the campaigns that win pitches. Come up with the scripts, stunts and cool things that impress the client, potential clients and judges. Show the work that makes others take notice. Your job is to think big. Cliche? Maybe. But we’re not just blowing smoke. We’re changing and have some creative shoes to fill. You should have a resume that tells us we can point you in a direction and you’ll know where to go. We can give you a brief and you’ll surprise us with ways in we haven’t thought of. Teams can join up with you and learn a thing or two while they make a thing or three. You’ll be zigging and zagging. From TV to game-changing social work to AI ideas, we need thinking that fits any challenge we find ourselves faced with. Did we mention we need social-first ideas? If you have aspirations for awards, room in your book for some major pieces and the gumption to come up with and sell through work that makes you, and Cheil, famous, this might be a perfect fit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in creative-related fields preferred.
  • At least 8 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, adhering to timelines in a fast-paced environment with high client expectations.
  • Curious, creative, and solution-focused.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Works well with others while still taking independent initiative.
  • Passionate, positive, and optimistic.
  • Must have an online portfolio of smart, exciting and award-worthy work that shows a range of conceptual and tactical executions.
  • Social, campaign, and promotional experience a must.
  • Experience leading shoots and working closely with production.
  • Open to travel, extended hours, and weekend work as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Consumer product experience is a plus.
