About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. We're seeking an exceptional Associate Creative Director to join the Amazon Leo Creative Team. This is a player-coach role for a creative generalist who can both lead strategic creative initiatives and roll up their sleeves to execute across multiple disciplines. You'll serve as a critical bridge between our internal creative team and external agency partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and exceptional creative output that elevates the Amazon Leo brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in in graphic design, industrial design, digital communications design, visual arts, mass communications, art, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience
  • 7+ years of professional creative experience in advertising, brand design, or creative production
  • Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and InDesign
  • Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
  • Experience driving results through digital marketing and multi-channel campaigns
  • Background in both agency and in-house creative environments, with understanding of production timelines and resource management
  • AI-augmented creative production experience, including familiarity with generative AI tools for creative workflows

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end creative development for Amazon Leo campaigns across multiple channels including digital, video, experiential, print, and emerging media
  • Develop innovative creative concepts that translate complex satellite technology into compelling, customer-focused narratives for B2B (AWS), B2G, and B2C audiences
  • Provide hands-on creative execution across art direction, design, copywriting, and content production as needed
  • Partner with the Global Creative Director and Associate Creative Directors to maintain brand consistency and creative excellence
  • Present creative concepts and rationale to stakeholders including VPs and Directors across Amazon Leo, AWS, and Business Development teams
  • Own relationships with external creative agencies, serving as the primary creative liaison and day-to-day contact
  • Develop clear creative briefs that align agency partners with Amazon Leo's brand vision and business objectives across B2B, B2G, and B2C initiatives
  • Manage agency performance, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget execution
  • Facilitate productive feedback loops between internal stakeholders and external creative partners
  • Evaluate agency work against brand standards and provide actionable, constructive feedback
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing Management (PMM), Industrial Design, Product teams, and Business Development stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Creative Program Manager to coordinate workflows across creative, digital, and website workstreams
  • Work alongside Associate Creative Directors in Design and Copy to ensure cohesive creative output
  • Interface with Marketing Operations to optimize creative processes and systems
  • Build strong relationships with Sales, Regulatory, Technical teams, and Amazon partners to understand business needs and translate them into creative solutions
  • Influence and align leadership across B2C Marketing, B2B Marketing (AWS), B2G, Consumer Growth/Engagement Marketing, and Media teams
  • Contribute to building scalable creative operations including design systems, templates, and production workflows
  • Help establish best practices for creative production that balance quality, speed, and cost-efficiency across diverse B2B and B2C use cases
  • Support the development of AI-enhanced creative capabilities and tools
  • Mentor junior creatives and contractors, fostering a culture of creative excellence and continuous improvement
