As an Associate Counselor , you will work under the supervision of a licensed counselor while actively pursuing full independent certification or licensure. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Associate, assistant, or resident level licensure or certification in counseling, social work, or addiction (as required by Indiana regulations).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in substance use treatment, mental health counseling, or related field.
  • Indiana-specific credentials may include: CADAC II-V, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, LCAC-A, LAC-A

Responsibilities

  • Conduct substance abuse assessments using ASAM criteria.
  • Prepare and implement the addiction counseling portion of treatment plans.
  • Provide individual counseling, group therapy, and family therapy sessions.
  • Reassess patients and update treatment plans as needed.
  • Develop discharge and continuum of care plans for appropriate transitions.
  • Document all counseling services, assessments, and referrals in patient records.
  • Participate fully in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and clinical decision-making.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and coordinate with referral sources.
  • Complete administrative and clinical tasks as requested.
