About the position
The job overview for this role is to lead the development of business unit strategies, evaluate logical extensions of the company's core competencies, create financial models, assess industry trends, synthesize business issues, build partnerships, support special initiatives, assist in deal phases, and develop executive-level communications. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of related work experience, a bachelor's degree in an analytical field, strong influencing and communication skills, and a focus on driving tangible impact to the corporation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of business unit strategies, including scoping and structuring, formulating hypotheses, conducting research, performing analysis, developing actionable recommendations, and creating implementation plans
- Lead the evaluation of logical extensions (white spaces) of the company’s current core competencies by assessing the market, technology, and macroeconomic trends
- Create complex financial models to simulate portfolio-level scenarios
- Conduct ongoing assessments of industry and competitive landscape, identify key industry trends impacting operations
- Synthesize business issues, form initial hypotheses and identify the data/ information required to validate hypotheses
- Build strong partnerships within the business and collaborate with functional leaders to drive greater efficiency, effectiveness, & capability
- Support in special initiatives as requested by the Executive Team in support of the strategic vision
- Support the Corporate Growth team during critical deal phases, which may include competitive landscape analysis, pipeline development, strategic due diligence, transaction management, and post-merger integration
- Support development of executive-level communications across the organization, including the Board of Directors
Requirements
- At least five years of related work experience; top-tier management consulting experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field, such as engineering, economics, finance or business; MBA strongly preferred
- Skilled at influencing and communicating with a diverse set of functions and audiences
